Summary
Britain is at war with Germany, but the Germans are the least of their worries.
When Britain declares war on Germany Bruce, Arthur, and Frederick leave to help train recruits at the same time Bernard starts his first year at a boarding school in London. They would all rather Bernard and their younger sister Addie go stay with their godfather in the countryside of Wales, but when Addie tries to manipulate the situation, everything goes sideways. Now it will be just Bernard and Addie in London; and Addie has not been displaying the greatest amount of wisdom.
Unfortunately, Addie’s actions and drama queen status are only the beginning of their wild ride, as Frederick's controlling mother forces him to choose between his title and the woman he's loved for ten years, when everything comes to a dramatic head.
